Plastic injection

hand blender

2011 - 12 / SCHOOL BRIEF
HANDMADE PROTOTYPE

The ergonomy of security

Focused on ergonomic and industrial process, the school brief was to conceive a plastic injected cover for hand blender. We disassembled existing models, studied and measured the components.
The final shape is determined by ergonomic factors. The upper part of the shape is made to avoid the suction effect and to keep the cable as far as possible. The handle is flat to conserve the continuity of the arm and to fit small hands.
The green soft button manages the on and off function and the speed of the blender. If the user presses more it will work quicker.
The rest is cylindrical as the motor is cylindrical.
